Summary from our Medical Director of the February 2009 Mission:
(Written March 2009)

Dear Supporters, Vendors, and Volunteers of the Mission,

It has been two weeks since we have been back from the mission and I am are sure you all working hard in this nice weather.

I wanted to take the opportunity to summarize the achievements of the mission. More detailed reports from each Institution are attached.  I am amazed of all the work that you all did! This is the clear demonstration of the MASTER MIND CONCEPT from Napoleon Hill. Two or more minds working together for one definite purpose. What a job, congratulations to all!

First, I would like to thank all you for participating in the mission. As a Colombian, I want to thank you with all my heart for all your support. I also want to thank The Healing Hands Foundation for sponsoring the mission this year.

The organizing committee of  Manos Unidas por Colombia did an incredible work to get the logistics and all the donations for the mission. Especial thanks to Luz Helena, Janet, Juan, Julio, Julio, Claudia. Diane, Ann, and Mariane.

In addition the following organizations participated: Universidad Libre, Universidad Santiago de Cali, Escuela Nacional del Deporte, Institución Educativa Vida y Salud, Hospital Isaias Duarte Cancino, Fundación Clínica de Valle del Lili, Hospital Universitario del Valle, Instituto de Ciegos y Sordomudos and Hospital Carlos Carmona. In addition the translators came from the  schools Colegio Bolívar and Colegio Colombo Británico

The  mission was conducted in five institutions: The allocation of the Institutions were made depending on the complexity of the cases.

Costs of The Mission:

(Exchanged rate calculated at 1 dollar= $2,500 pesos)

This cost does not include the services provide by the hospitals. It is practicable impossible to do this size of mission without considerable support from the institutions. This expense does not include the donations taken from the United States ( Report will follow). Donations from many corporations and Hospitals in the US allow us to take a considerable amount of supplies.

Most of the cost shown bellow was donated or cash contributions from participants in Cali.

We were only able to collect $7,800 US dollars from patients and participants in the United States.
